Design Market Barcelona brings together the best contemporary creators, new talents, and the most relevant brands at the forefront of independent design every year. It is the leading fair for products and gifts for those who love good design.
This year's campaign had a main goal: to bring the event closer to the general public, conveying that good design can and should be accessible to everyone. With this campaign, we aimed to highlight the role of design in everyday life, emphasizing how its quality often lies in its ability to seamlessly integrate into our daily routines.
To bring this concept to life, we worked with objects that everyone knows and uses—those seemingly simple elements that, despite their understated presence, play a fundamental role in our daily lives.
Through the campaign, we wanted to celebrate their extraordinariness, focusing on their value and the emotional connection they often create with people. To reinforce this idea, we utilized accessible creative techniques such as scanning, allowing us to move away from complex processes and show that good design can emerge from simple elements and methods. The Times New Roman typeface, in turn, was chosen to underline the campaign’s everyday and relatable character.
Each piece we created embodies this combination of accessibility, simplicity, and thoughtful design, resulting in a coherent and meaningful proposal.
To complete the campaign, we developed a series of advertising phrases with a direct and approachable tone to reinforce the central concept. Expressions like “Design is not being able to live without me,” “I don’t have any design awards, and I don’t need them,” “We are (extra)ordinary,” and “Designed to move the masses” celebrate the value of the most common objects and invite us to recognize their importance. Through these copies, we aimed to give the project a strong voice, creating an immediate connection with the audience while adding a touch of creativity that defines our style.
Ultimately, this campaign is a tribute to everyday design—a celebration of the objects and processes that improve our lives, often without us realizing it. We wanted to make this inherent value visible, demonstrating that good design can be both approachable, universal, and essential.
